The European Space Agency has released the latest series of images of Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko taken in the run-up to Christmas.

The Rosetta spacecraft and its Philae lander have been sending back thousands of images charting how the comet changes as it passes through its closest approach to the Sun and then hurtles away back into space.
