Australia has seen a small bump in week-to-week COVID-19 cases with more than 30,000 new cases, a level not seen since mid-January.
It’s the largest number of new cases in 15 weeks, with only Queensland, South Australia and Tasmania reporting case declines.

In contrast, the number of new COVID-19 related deaths reported saw a substantial increase – up 27% nationwide with 144 deaths reported, although some of these were delayed reports from over a month ago.

Hospitalisations and ICU admissions
Hospital numbers increased slightly from 2284 last week to 2320 this week, while ICU patients dropped from 71 to 64.
