Looking forward to selfies from Mars? Here’s a sneak preview

French photographer Julien Mauve has imagined a world where Mars is just another tourist hot spot and a backdrop for the inevitable selfies.

His project Greetings from Mars investigates what it might be like for the average person to visit new and uncharted territory in the 21st century.

He shot the images in during an eight-day, 6,500-kilometre road trip from California to Utah looking for backdrops that resembles the terrain of the Red Planet.
