The largest known fish species, whale sharks are creatures of habit: they migrate huge distances around the world’s oceans, following food supplies, and revisit the same places.

Two whale sharks, named Stumpy and Zorro, have been making the pilgrimage to Western Australia’s Ningaloo Reef for at least the past 22 years, according to a study published in Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment.
