Unexpected find from a neutron star forces a rethink on radio jets

Astronomers found something not predicted by current theory when they took a closer look at the emissions from a neutron star with a very strong magnetic field. James Miller-Jones, science director at the Curtin University node of the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research, in Western Australia, reports.
