The night sky as you've never before seen


Nocturnal photography captures the Milky Way galaxy and aurora borealis in 4K.



Branding himself a "nocturnal photographer",
Vincent Brady creates stunning images and videos of the night sky over the US and Iceland.

To create these spectacular pieces, he uses a rig of four cameras, each harbouring a fisheye lens.

In the video above, you can see our galaxy, the Milky Way. A fairly typical galaxy, it contains hundreds of billions of stars and enough dust to make billions more.

Brady also manages to film aurorae over Iceland, which are caused by particles fired from the sun that strike the Earth's magnetic field and excite atoms in the atmosphere.
