‘Make sure to Instagram’, Obama tells space station astronaut

President Obama his State of the Union address to praise NASA astronaut Scott Kelly who, with Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko, who will become the first crew members to live and work for a year on the International Space Station.

The media savvy president also had some words of advice for Kelly: “Good luck Captain. Make sure to Instagram it.”

Kelly’s mission – twice the length of the usual stay on the ISS – is scheduled to begin in March when he, Kornienko and the rest of the crew will carry out hundreds of research experiments and work on cutting-edge technology development.

During the mission, Kelly’s identical twin brother, Mark, will assist NASA in an experiment to see how twins’ bodies perform in different environments.
