Kath is a field biologist focusing on the ecology, management and diseases of native Australian mammals. With her students, she has worked on koalas (for 39 years!), platypus, potoroos, echidnas, and possums (bobucks, common brushtails, striped possums and ringtails), with brief forays into native marsupial carnivores, native rodents, and fur seals. Also a passionate teacher, Kath coordinated and taught subjects in science, mostly in zoology, at all year levels, including Masters, from 1992 until her retirement in 2019.
