Dr Georgia Atkin-Smith is a cell biologist at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, where she explores the death, disassembly and clearance of cells under inflammatory settings. She is also a passionate science advocate (see “Some Blonde Scientist” on Instagram) and 2022 L’Oreal/UNESCO For Women In Science fellow.
