Hurricane Matthew is tearing through the Caribbean as the most violent storm in the region in almost a decade.
With winds at 230 kilometres per hour, the category-four hurricane has already pummelled Haiti and recently landed in Cuba, triggering a state of emergency declaration in the US states of Florida, South Carolina and Georgia.
The storm was captured from 400 kilometres above by the International Space Station, showing Hurricane Matthew’s terrifying scale.
