The bizarre chemistry Cassini found on Titan

The space probe Cassini has gone, but although it is now no more than several trillion widely separated atoms swirling through Saturn’s turbulent atmosphere, the data it sent back during its long sojourn around the planets and its moons will keep scientists busy for many years to come.

The probe’s spectacular photographic imagery continues to beguile us, but its discoveries in other areas are just as revealing. Here, for instance, is a short film from the American Chemical Society, giving insight to some unexpected findings about one of Saturn’s moons, Titan.
