How tracking koalas in Belair National Park could help these marsupial icons across Australia

Researchers from Flinders University are tracking and monitoring 200 koalas in Belair National Park just south of Adelaide in SA.  

The program will have implications for the genetic rescue of koala populations on the east coast of Australia whose habitats are becoming increasingly fragmented.

Cosmos science journalist Imma Perfetto travelled to Belair National Park, with Flinders researchers Professor Karen Burke Da Silva and Dr Julian Beaman.
