Michael Weldon is an illustrator working in the digital field. For more than a decade he has been developing a broad range of styles and techniques in his image making. Featuring bold colours and slick vectors, Michael likes to include humour in his work where possible.

Michael studied Graphic Design at Victoria College, Prahran, Melbourne. He worked as a designer for a few years, but eventually his love of drawing led him to try his hand at illustration and he is still trying today.

His biggest break was getting a call from the illustration editor of the New Yorker at 4am about 14 years ago. It had always been Michael’s dream to work for that particular magazine. He has been an on and off contributor ever since.

Michael has recently completed his Masters in Art and Design. His goal in life is to keep learning and always to become a better illustrator.
